“As a violinist and writer, I have long been curious about how the sounds of the violin are constructed through the building of the instrument itself. For years I dreamed of traveling to Cremona to learn about the Cremonese style of violin-making in the city where luthiers such as Stradivari and Guarneri lived and worked.
The Academia Cremonensis generously welcomed me as a student, creating a short custom course for my visit. My studies in violin-making with Maestro Piergiuseppe Esposti were illuminating and invaluable for my research for a book of poetry I am writing.”
