“I enrolled in Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2002. And studied violin making with Professor Hua Tianreng until I got my master degree in 2009. And I have worked in Shanghai Conservatory of Music as a violin making teacher since then. I am currently a lecturer in our school.
I have been given a chance by Shanghai Conservatory of Music which I am working in to study abroad for one year. This one-year study is very important to me. As Mr. Giovanni Colonna (Responsible of Violin Making at the Academia Cremonensis) told me that I will complete quartet of instruments, one of which will participate the Pisogne International Violin Making Competition. I think if I will complete the beautiful quartet of instruments and participate the Pisogne International Violin Making Competition would be a best choice. Because I never participate any competition, I think a good result would be very important to me (as a violin making teacher). So I intend attend the course.”
