Guided Visit at the Academia

In Academia visitors can meet students working on their benches and witness in live the instrument making. 20140625AcademiaMaserati007
During the visit we’ll explain the importance of the materials and of the Traditional Cremonese Method for making, while walking among the wood curls just carved out from the bellies by our school’s students.

Duration: one hour and a half
Cost: for groups 1-16 persons € 50 (vat excluded), for each additional person 3 €.

It’s also possible to ask to participate in a comparison between a violin and a viola, with an additional cost of € 100 (20 minutes) or € 200 (40 minutes) by M° Akiko Yatani.

IMG_4112In addition, the Academia Cremonensis offers its guests, after the visit of the school, the opportunity to test their instruments – or those of the Academia – in the auditorium of the Violin Museum at a cost of € 100 + IVA per hour. The instrument test takes place closed-door in the presence of a maximum of 4 persons, and the supervision of a responsible of the Academia Cremonensis.
The auditorium was designed by architects Palu and Bianchi and acoustically designed by the engineer Yasuhisa Toyota who, together, have reached a level of perfection that allow it to be also used as a recording studio.

– The Academia Cremonensis can book for you a visit at the Violin Museum of Cremona (reduced-price for groups). Request it to us.
